FMCA Gains Local Support

As the Association continues to aggressively confront the egregious impact of the manatee issue and the associated federal and state cowering to the environmental extremists, it is essential to gain local political support for our cause. To that end, the Executive Director drafted a RESOLUTION calling on the President to stay implementation of the federal agreements and enjoining the state to reverse its adoption of a settlement agreement with the Save the Manatee Club.

Last month, the RESOLUTION was introduced to the Marco Island City Council and passed by a unanimous vote. With the splendid assistance of former Commissioner David Brandt, the FMCA RESOLUTION was introduced to the Collier County Commission. It was adopted by a 4:1 vote on May 22nd.

While these actions may have little impact on the federal and state bureaucrats, they do influence the positions of elected public officials. Once again, “FMCA IS THERE FOR YOU.”
